How will my electricity bill reduce after installing solar? 👉 Answer: During the day, solar panels generate free electricity. Your home uses it first, and any extra power goes to the grid. Through a Net Meter, this extra power is credited, which makes your monthly bill almost zero.
Why should I install solar now? 👉 Answer: The government is currently offering high subsidy, which may reduce later. Electricity rates are increasing every year – with solar you get fixed free power for decades.
How do I get the government subsidy? 👉 Answer: The subsidy is directly transferred by the government into your bank account through the official portal – 100% transparent and safe
What is the cost of a solar system? 👉 Answer: It depends on your electricity needs: 2 kW – for 5–6 fans, 10–12 LEDs, 1 fridge, TV 3 kW – for 1.5 ton AC + lights/fans/fridge After subsidy, the cost is much lower and affordable.
Will my solar system work during power cuts? 👉 Answer: Normal On-Grid systems stop during power cuts (for safety). If you need backup, you can install a Hybrid or Off-Grid system with battery.
How can I check if my units are credited? 👉 Answer: Your Net Meter shows separate readings for Import & Export. Every month, your electricity bill shows both details. You can also track daily usage and credits through your DISCOM’s mobile app/portal.
What maintenance is required? 👉 Answer: Very little. Just clean the panels 2–3 times a year and schedule regular service. Panels usually come with 25 years warranty.
If my home uses 10 units per day but my solar generates 12 units, what happens to the extra 2 units? 👉 Answer: The extra 2 units are sent to the grid. They are recorded in your Net Meter and credited to your account. At night or later, when you draw electricity from the grid, these units are adjusted.
